My passion for protecting our coastlines began in childhood, walking the beaches of Newport, Rhode Island, and feeling disheartened by the plastic pollution scattered along the shore. That awareness deepened in 2009, when I studied abroad in Australia and completed a capstone project exploring the human impacts on beaches. Since then, I’ve built a career around storytelling, advocacy, and strategic outreach, helping inspire action and protect the outdoor places we love.

The outdoors has also shaped how I see the world. From thru hiking Vermont’s Long Trail end-to-end, mountain biking Nepal’s Annapurna Circuit to finding clarity on a local trail, or surfing these experiences have taught me resourcefulness, curiosity, and the power of connection. Those lessons continue to guide my work in brand storytelling, mission-driven marketing, and community engagement and, ultimately, this space.
