Creative Outdoorist.
Built On Snow, Dirt, & Water.
I didn’t find the outdoors.
I grew up in it.
Woods. Water. Open space.
Before labels- just curiosity and awe.
Movement became identity, Running, Hiking, Skiing, Climbing, Exploring. Eventually it became my career.
Spending time outside changes how you see things.
Loving a place means wanting to protect it.
Now I work at the intersection of Story, Systems, and Stewardship. Helping outdoor brands grow without losing their voice or ignoring the environments they depend on.

Creative Strategist | Storyteller | Outdoor Advocate
I'm Megan Davin, the founder of Skirting the Mountains, based in Vermont. With 19 years of experience spanning the outdoor industry, nonprofits, and mission-driven businesses, I specialize in crafting authentic, impactful narratives that resonate with audiences and inspire action.
My approach integrates customer service, sales, and marketing to build meaningful connections and drive sustainable growth. Whether it's through content creation, event planning, or strategic marketing, I help brands and organizations tell stories that foster community and create lasting impact.
Beyond my professional work, I am deeply committed to the natural world. As a skier, biker, runner, mom, and gardener, I spend as much time outdoors as possible, not just for adventure, but to advocate for the landscapes and communities that make outdoor experiences possible.
Originally from New Jersey, I've lived in seven different states on both coasts, but Vermont has always been home. My journey has been shaped by a deep desire to learn from and protect nature, and I aim to continue riding bikes, skiing, gardening, and running in the mountains for as long as I can.
At the heart of it all, it's about being out there, recognizing the connections between people and place, and understanding that we're all part of the same story.
